It has been officially announced that BTS will enlist in mandatory military service, beginning with the eldest member Jin.
On October 17, HYBE released an official announcement explaining that the boy group would enlist in order starting with member Jin. The entertainment agency clarified that Jin withdrew his 'postponing enlistment until the age of 30' extension; he is expected to enlist as an active duty soldier as soon as a notice of enlistment is issued.
After the announcement was made, K-netizens responded, saying they were relieved that the global boy group will no longer be embroiled in controversies over the military issue.
Even BTS's former manager responded to the official announcement and bluntly expressed his opinion. He wrote on his social media, "Yes...they're going...So stop saying nonsense.."
Fans were pleased with the former manager's blunt post telling others to stop speaking nonsense about the group's enlistment since BTS has been suffering from various talks concerning this issue.
K-netizens commented, "They did suffer so much, I'm glad that there won't be any talk about this when they go and come back from their military service," "Now everyone who was mocking the boys about this will shut up," "BTS's manager put it nicely, stop speaking nonsense about this," "BTS's manager made everyone shut up, lol," "The members have been saying they will enlist," "We fans knew the boys will enlist, it was the company and the government making a big fuss about this," and "They already said they were going to go."
How's AKP's adsense gonna survive without the daily "BTS enlistment" article filled with the angriest people on the internet?
