Many people say that a loved one's past doesn't matter. But to what extent can you understand your lover's past?
Interestingly enough, there is a dating reality program that tests whether people can really understand and accept everything about their loved ones. The new Disney+ reality dating show 'Pink Lie' brings a group of men and women who wants to find true love, except they get to say one lie about themselves. Through this one lie, they are going to see if they will be able to find the person who will love them no matter what.
In the show's first episode, one contestant is garnering much attention because it was revealed that she is a former adult film actress. Seo Ha Ni (age 36) appeared on the show and explained that she had worked in the adult film industry up until five years ago. After retiring from the industry, she explained that she is now working at a candle-making studio and introduced herself to other contestants only as a 'candle artist.' This means Seo Ha Ni has decided to hide the fact that she is a former adult film actress.
In the interview, Seo Ha Ni shed tears while talking about the difficulties she faced when dating in the past. Seo Ha Ni explained, "Men DM me nude photos or photos of their private parts through social media" and expressed how frightened she feels that men only approach her as a sexual object.
Seo Ha Ni added, "I wasn't able to see cherry blossoms in the past (because I am afraid someone would recognize me). I want to go swimming (in the summer), go see the autumn leaves (in the fall), and want to go skiing (in the winter). I am really curious if there will be anyone who would love me without looking at my past."
The former adult film actress also confessed that she had not dated anyone for the past 6 years. So, many viewers are gathering their attention to whether Seo Ha Ni will genuinely be able to find love.
Meanwhile, three women and four men appeared as contestants in the first episode. All of the contestants share one lie about themselves, just like Seo Ha Ni on the show.
For people that are confused: South Korean "porn" isn't the filming of sex. It's acting. That's what permitted there.
And this is really sad. I hope she does find love. It doesn't matter if you are in SK-type "porn" or actual sexual porn, you deserve to find love if you want to.
