Celebrating their 18th anniversay, one news media outlet gathered 18 experts who have had great influence in the Korean music industry. A survey was conducted under the theme of "4th generation idols whose activities you look most forward to", divided between male and female idol groups that debuted after 2020.

Here are the female idol groups that were voted as the most influential by the 18 experts:

1. NewJeans: Received 16 out of 18 votes (88.9%)

NewJeans made their debut in July 2022 with their 1st album 'NewJeans', and continue to receive a lot of love with their title track "Attention". In addition, 'NewJeans' sold around 262,815 copies in first day album sales, making NewJeans the first rookie girl group to achieve this. NewJeans were evaluated highly for their current trend, unique music, promotion strategies,

2. aespa: Received 9 votes out of 18 votes (50%)

aespa made their debut in November 2020 as a 4-member group. aespa have established themselves as the "metaverse girl group" of the MZ generation, gathering a lot of interest.

3. IVE: Received 8 votes out of 18 votes (44.4%)

IVE debuted in December 2021 and has continuously captivated global K-pop fans' hearts with their outstanding visuals, performances, and exciting concept. In particular, Wonyoung and Yujin, who gained a lot of fans through their IZ*ONE promotions, helped the group settle into the K-pop industry quickly. 

Here are the male idol groups that were voted as the most influential by the 18 experts:

1. ENHYPEN: Received 17 out of 18 votes (94.4%)

ENHYPEN made their debut as a 7-member group through the Mnet idol survival program 'I-LAND'. Debuting in November 2020, ENHYPEN quickly became million sellers with their 1st mini album 'Border: Day One' and 2nd mini album 'Border: Carnival'. In particular, ENHYPEN achieved 1 million copies in album sales within just two days of release with their 3rd mini album 'Manifesto: Day 1'. ENHYPEN were highly praised by the experts for their strong fanbase in the United States, Japan, and more, as well as their impressive achievements in album sales.

2. TREASURE: Received 9 out of 18 votes (50%)

TREASURE debuted as a 12-member group in August 2020, four years after BLACKPINK made their debut. Although experts mentioned that  TREASURE did not yet reach the level of YG Entertainment's well-known legendary idol groups (such as Big Bang, 2NE1, and BLACKPINK), the TREASURE members show a strong foundation in their musical skills, the members' individual charms, and have great influence in the music industry.
