According to multiple accounts on online communities, fans experienced severely dangerous situations during NCT 127's comeback showcase, which took place at Kintex 7Hall on September 16.
Previously, it was reported that NCT 127 planned on holding a massive-scale comeback showcase in light of the release of their 4th album, '2 Baddies'. On the day of the showcase, approximately 10,000 fans crowded into the event venue, with the entire floor being GA standing.
Witness fan accounts are now claiming that the showcase floor was a war zone, with fans pushing, shoving, hitting one another, pulling on hairs and scratching, and leaving bruises with light sticks. Furthermore, security had to constantly pull out fans in danger of passing out or being suffocated, and screams and cries of help could be heard throughout the program.
In fact, the members of NCT 127 halted their comments repeatedly to ask security to rescue fans in different sections.
Taeyong: "I'm sorry but can some security guard please go over there and help? Everyone on this side as well, please take a few steps back. Yes? Yes, just like that. You are so nice. You're doing so well. And over there too? Yes, can security guards head over there as well? There are some people pointing to the area."
Fan account: "I'm so sad. I came to my favorite artist's comeback show but people are being pulled out from suffocation and there's not enough room in the impromptu infirmary. The artists on stage can't even speak properly because of what's happening in front of them."
Fan account: "An account of the comeback show... All I got out of that experience was pure trauma. There was a moment where I completely panicked because I couldn't breathe. As soon as the boys got on stage, I got pushed and shoved around so much I thought I would die. I went through pure hell. Whoever the f*** came up with the idea of GA standing only for 10,000 people. Those screams from the crowd today were not cheers, they were cries for help from people trying to live."
Fan account: "It occurred to me that a person could actually get squished under this crowd and die. I'm on the shorter side so I wore elevated shoes but there was so much pushing and shoving from all sides, my bag was ripped off of me and my hairs were being pulled out. I managed to hang on until 'Kick It', but after that I had to scream for someone to save me and they eventually pulled me out."
Fan account: "As soon as the show started, I couldn't move my body of my own accord and I had trouble breathing properly. I have been to multiple GA standing shows, and I have never seen this many people being rescued after fainting. I've never heard people screaming, 'Help, save me' so much in my life. I also sweated the most I've ever sweated in my life."
The members of NCT 127 periodically pointed out fans in need of rescue to the security on set.
Other netizens expressed their concerns, saying,
"This is why K-Pop concerts cannot be GA standing. Seating brings in less people and less money? Well too bad, it's not worth risking some serious accidents."
"This is seriously a major safety issue. The production staff who planned this show needs to take responsibility."
"Is this some small company with no experience running big shows? No, right? This is SM. If they say they didn't know this would happen, that is a big fat lie."
"With that many people, the standing areas need to be divided into much smaller chunks with much less people per area."
"It looks so dangerous."
"I've gone through this before. I got pushed and shoved and had no control over my body and I felt like puking, so after that I decided I would never do standing again."
"All GA standing shows have some degree of pushing and fluctuating... but why were people pulling others by the hairs and hitting others??"
"I went in and decided right away that I needed to go to the back, it was going to be crazy. And then people kept flooding in and in, the venue was overpacked. There should have been more room in the back but even in the back, there wasn't room like regular standing venues."
"the showcase floor was a war zone, with fans pushing, shoving, hitting one another, pulling on hairs and scratching, and leaving bruises with light sticks"
- Then all the comments were blaming the venue. Standing only to squashing absolutely a venue complaint. But fans hitting one another with light sticks and pulling hair..that's on the fans, nobody else.

If I’m being honest, most of western artist concert that I went was GA standing and there’s no problem with it. But when it comes to K-Idol concert, I prefer to choose seating one.
