Fans speculate that the MoonByul, in her most recent personal Instagram post, posted a spoiler regarding MAMAMOO's upcoming comeback. Prompting her groupmate Wheein to respond cryptically, known by many fans to mean that the post has something to do with an upcoming comeback concept or performance.

In her Instagram post on the 22nd of September, the idol posted pictures of a poem she was reading alongside a rainbow and a comfy-looking picture of a table and two empty chairs. However, what immediately drew the eyes of moomoos was the fact that Moonbyul indirectly references a poem by William Stafford called ‘The Way It Is’ which specific parts posted by the idol read:

“There’s a thread you follow.

It goes among things that change.

But it doesn’t change.

People wonder about what you are pursuing.

You have to explain about the thread.

<...>

But it is hard for others to see.

While you hold it you can’t get lost.

Tragedies happen; people get hurt or die;

and you suffer and get old.

Nothing you do can stop time’s unfolding.

You don’t ever let go of the thread.”

Fans know the idol to give spoilers before a new release, be it group or solo, indirectly on social media, something which is shared with her fellow members. It seems at least one of the upcoming songs in the group's forthcoming album may be a ballad with a more sorrowful note. Other fans speculated that this might also hint at an upcoming solo song.

However, what leads many fans to speculate that this is a direct reference to the group's upcoming comeback was the idol's fellow group mate Wheein's reaction to the post, which simply stated "no no," to which Moonbyul simply replied with "what what." This was quickly recognized by many fans of the group that have been following MAMAMOO activities for more than one solo or group comeback as a direct indicator of a spoiler before a new release, either to the whole comeback concept or at least one of the songs. If not, direct lyrics for one of the songs in the upcoming group album.

Thus fans speculate that just like for past comebacks, lyrics or the concept theme of a song is being spoiled via engagement on social media. This, combined with the fact that the members' stylists and filming teams were all seen in an airport the same week and that the next release from the girls is a group comeback. This leads many to believe that the comeback data will be announced very soon, especially since the group will perform at the Incheon Airport SKY festival on the 24th of September, and the group will have a hard time hiding any hair changes for the group comeback.

Needless to say, moomoos are thirsty to shout "MAMAMOO IS COMING BACK FOR YOU" at the top of their lungs soon.
