Singer BIBI clarified that there are no hidden meanings in her latest single MV, in response to various fan speculations that arose shortly after the MV's release earlier this week.
Currently gearing up for her comeback with her new album 'Lowlife Princess — Noir', BIBI dropped her pre-release single "Animal Farm" on September 27.
In particular, the singer's 19+ rated MV, which contains sword fighting, violence, blood, and gore, caught the attention of many fans.
When numerous speculations over BIBI's "Animal Farm" MV became a buzz on online communities and SNS platforms, BIBI took to her Instagram on September 28 and wrote, "You say you don't know what the MV means? I'm glad you watched it. There aren't any meanings."
However, various theories surrounding the MV continued to circulate online. Some claimed that BIBI was demonstrating a feminist stance by killing all of the men in her MV.
On September 29, during her performance at the Chungbuk National University Festival, BIBI once again addressed her new single and MV. She said, "I have a new song out. But it's fine if you don't watch the MV. It's pretty bloody."
The singer continued, "I just want to clarify that I am not anti-men. I'm also not anti-women. I'm full of love. If you ask me why I killed so many people in the music video, it was because I wanted to copy the movie 'Kill Bill'. If you could listen to my new song, that would be great. But if not, I don't have a problem with that either."
Did you watch BIBI's 19+ rated "Animal Farm" MV?
Everyone's a feminist until a group of girls start outselling your oppars. The cognitive dissonance of K-pop stans, I swear.
