Out of the many looks that many K-stars pull off, for sure, one of the most beautiful looks is the minimal make-up look. Why? Because these looks show off the natural beauty of the stars themselves, without really changing any major of their features! If you want to achieve the same look, here are eight makeup tricks to be able to pull off that perfectly natural look!
1. Don't cake up on the foundation: One of the key components to achieving that skin-like quality, yet covering up the hyperpigmentation and discoloring on the face, is to lightly apply foundation in thin, thin layers.
2. Find a very subtle blush color: When it comes to the minimal make-up look, you want to make sure that your flush looks natural, coming from within to make your cheeks glow. So find that pop of color that isn't too bright nor too bold!
3. Skincare prep: The most important step in any makeup look, especially a more natural one, is making sure that your skin is fully moisturized and hydrated for that natural glow and highlight!
4. Hydrated lips are your best friend: Just like how skincare is a crucial step into getting that natural no-makeup makeup look, the same goes for your lips! To get the natural pout, make sure to keep your lips exfoliated and moisturized for that hydrated look! Lip masks are an added plus. After all, you can never go wrong with double hydration!
5. Single falsies: For the most natural yet flattering eyelashes, instead of using a full band of lashes, use single lash extensions! Even though they're tricky to glue on at first, if you get the hang of it, you'll get such beautiful long and full lashes!
6. Go with your natural eyebrow shape: While many want that arched, sleek brow look. For a more natural and subtle look, you might want to just go with following your natural brow shape!
7. No chisel cut contouring: While you may want to have a sharp, defined jawline and cheekbones, if you're going for a natural make-up look, you want to make the contouring as subtle as possible. How is that accomplished? Follow the natural way your face becomes shaded in daylight, and on top of that, don't go for the really dark and bold colors; stick to contour colors that are color to your natural skin color.
8. Don't overdo with the highlight: Once again, the key component to a minimal make-up look is to make sure everything is as subtle as possible, just following the natural contours and ways that your face ends up reflecting the light. This also goes for highlight! Don't overdo it, but only place the highlights in the place where the most light ends up reflecting off your face (often the high points of your cheekbones and the middle of your forehead).
What are some of the tricks that you have up your sleeve on the days that you want to not overload on the make-up, but still want to look good?
