On the 23rd of August, MAMAMOO's MoonByul finally scored her first goal on the Korean program "Kick a Goal Season 2: Super League," securing "Top Girls" a 3rd victory in a row and advancing them into the "Super League."
"Kick a Goal Season 2: Super League" is a Korean show where celebrities interested and passionate about soccer become players, and Korea’s World Cup "heroes" become the coaching staff. Both of whom gather to present fun and inspiration for women’s soccer.
As fans of "Top Girl" will know, Moonbyul has been vocal about her frustrations with herself regarding only assisting and defending but failing to get goals for her team. She continued to train hard during her comeback promotions, radio show, and more, but still was unable to get a goal. However, upon securing the final goal for her team this Wednesday, her hard work finally paid off.
Upon MoonByul scoring the goal, her teammates and coach reputed in happiness. Immediately rushing and hugging Moonbyul in celebration. "Top Girls" coach was even caught on camera making a little play on words when congratulating the team's youngest players by playfully saying, "<...> Are there stars in the skies?? Stars in the skies??? Moonbyul!!"
After the episode of top girl aired, MoonByul herself took to her personal Instagram to thank her coaches, fans, and unnie's, stating in her post:
"Forever Top Girl
