On July 8, ITZY took to their official Twitter page to release an eye-catching cover image for their upcoming mini album 'Checkmate'. The cover image drew attention with an image of a transparent 'queen' chess piece, with a ruby red top, that seemed to be falling onto a black chessboard with force. In addition, the words "Checkmate" were written across the bottom of the image in all capital letters.
Meanwhile, ITZY will be making their comeback with 'Checkmate' on July 15 at 1PM KST.

if the theories are true, then I hate this type of marketing even though it helps attract the attention it only sabotages their pre-orders maybe if the sneak peek had sounded better people would have bought more albums.
now I just hope they bring good music.
