One of aespa's fans asked the Internet why the group is getting so much hate for no apparent reason.
On July 10th, a post by one of aespa's fans on a popular online community caught netizens' eyes. The original writer asked why the group is getting so much hate for no apparent reason, making up malicious rumors to attack the group and even the fandom.
Netizens shared their thoughts in the comments saying:
"I've stanned many groups from 2nd generation and I can guarantee one thing. Only the top-performing group gets much hate because a flop group doesn't get checked by other groups lol"
"Don't be upset. Many people love aespa in real life while there are many hating posts on here."
"If you don't like seeing your group getting hate, tell them to sing live."
"I can tell which group is the most popular group just by skimming through hate posts' titles lol"
"Leave aespa alone smh"
"Then MYs should be nicer to other fandoms."
What do you think?
imho they got a lot of hate because they get a lot of "entitlement/ privileges" thanks to debuting from a Big 3 agency compared to groups from smaller agencies (in a way, Le Sserafim also got a lot of hate but most of it is channeled via Garam-bashing). a lot of people stan groups from smaller agencies who have to work their ass off to get recognition, opportunities and popularity (e.g. Loona, Brave Girls, OMG, etc.) - then they see groups like Aespa with the SM machine behind it with all the media clout hyping and opening doors for them despite being rookies whose talent and music may not be way better than smaller groups. i guess you can call it jealousy or feeling of unfairness.
