Netizens discussed what they thought of IVE member Leeseo's reaction to a hidden camera prank on '1.2.3 IVE 2'.
On June 22, one netizen created a post on an online community forum titled "For IVE's hidden camera, it's not that Leeseo did anything wrong..." Here, the netizen included screenshots from IVE's reality show '1.2.3 IVE 2', where the IVE members' members Wonyoung and Yujin watched a hidden camera prank for Leeseo, Rei, and Liz. For the hidden camera prank, a maknae (Korean for 'youngest')staff member 'accidentally' broke a prop on set to which Leeseo slowly walked away visibly afraid and uncomfortable. Soon, another staff member of higher position walked up to the maknae staff asking if she was the one who had broken it, creating an intimidating atmosphere.
While it was a harmless prank meant for entertainment, many netizens thought Leeseo's reaction showed that she was not a very considerate person. The netizen wrote, "I don't know how to explain this, but these kinds of small situations tend to show what type of person you are... Even if you can't say that it was you [who broke it], like the other member Liz(?) or was it Rei(?), you can still help cover up for the maknae staff. But she didn't do any of that and was like 'wait a minute' and just tried to just move away from the situation. Honestly, I don't really like those kind of people..."
In response, netizens commented:
"Since when did taking the blame for others make you a considerate person? So many weird things."
"Why are they doing these kinds of hidden camera pranks TT."
"But if you see the video, it's not that she was trying to just remove herself from the situation, but she looked really anxious. I just felt bad for her while watching."
"Why does an underage girl have to cover up for something an adult did wrong? This is ridiculous."
Others thought negatively of the situation and commented:
"If you're in middle school, you already grew enough lol."
"She didn't do anything bad, but as a person it just makes you lose charm."
"But why is her way of speaking like that?"
"It does make her look like she has bad social skills."
Bruh She’s 15💀 why would she have to take fault for an adult’s mistake. At some point people forgot that some of these “kpop idols” are literal children
