LE SSERAFIM's Kim Chaewon revealed the reason why she decided to switch her label from Woollim Entertainment to HYBE labels.
On May 9th, Weverse Magazine released the interview with Kim Chaewon. According to the interview, Kim Chaewon said she wanted to be in a group because she didn't think she showed her all as part of a group after two and a half years as an IZ*ONE member.
Kim Chaewon then said, "That's when SOURCE MUSIC told me they were making a new group and made me an offer, and the people at my previous label supported me and respected my decision, and that's how I ended up making a fresh start somewhere new."
Regarding her decision to take on a new challenge, she added, "It's not easy changing labels, being a trainee again, and having to start everything over from the beginning. But I thought I would have regretted it if I didn't do it."
"It's not every day that you have an opportunity to debut with a group again, and I wanted to challenge myself, rather than take the safe way and keep myself from the things I want to do. I decided to follow my heart in the end."

Smart decision to join another group in a company under HYBE. You don't really need a lot of reasons to just switch. Reality is groups from small companies mostly struggle, and regardless of company, a soloist career is not a luxury everyone can have. Lots of idols (especially post Produce series) have done it in recent years but how many are doing really well? And by "really well" I mean, charting high or selling more than 200k albums. I can only think of Chungha, Somi and Kang Daniel. The rest are doing relative okay with less and less sales each comeback, while others are doing better with acting like Sejeong, only after her post-group struggled and disbanded.
