Five days ago, Source Music announced that Kim Garam will take a temporary hiatus following the statement from the victim's legal representative. Nonetheless, there have been more and more allegations and accusations against Kim Garam even after the agency announced that Kim Garam will be temporarily stepping out from LE SSERAFIM promotions.
Now, there are rumors that HYBE has been privately talking with the victim about a possible settlement. This is because, on May 23, the victim's legal representative Daeryun released a statement saying, "We do not have additional statements because we are currently discussing a solution with HYBE."
With the statement from Daeryun, netizens are expecting HYBE to work out a settlement with the victim in order to have Kim Garam make a comeback from her hiatus once the issue is resolved.
However, netizens have found that Kim Garam had gone to auditions during the same year the Autonomous Committee for Countermeasures against School Violence was held against her.
In the 'Weverse Magazine' interview, Kim Garam revealed that she had begun auditioning to become a singer in 2018, which was the year when Kim Garam received 'degree 5' punishment for her involvement as an "assailant" in the conflict after the committee session was concluded.
If the victim's claims are true that Kim Garam's Autonomous Committee for Countermeasures against School Violence was held in 2018, then it confirms that Kim Garam had gone to audition in the same year she was penalized for bullying.
That will never fix the image of Garam though, people will still see her as a bully regardless if her company payed to shush the victims or not.
If anything this will make people strongly believe that all the accusations are true 🤦♂️.
