Packaged Korean Foods that are ONLY Sold outside of Korea

Korean food and K-food culture have been growing immensely over the past few years, and we can thank K-POP for helping the culture spread. Many Korean BBQ restaurants are opening up globally, and we've been able to see even documentaries on Netflix dedicated to Korean cuisine. I mean, we also have to give credit that we are the pioneers of mukbang culture on the Meta.

The market has gotten so big that there are common Korean products that we thought were also sold in Korea, but it turns out that they are only sold outside the country! These products are specifically targeted and catered towards foreign consumers, and quite frankly -- they've been successful! Some of these may seem common to you, but let's check out what exclusive Korean product is only available outside the peninsula.

Bowl Noodle

Yes, your favorite cup ramen product is actually only available outside the country. This specific product is available in various flavors, such as "Hot & Spicy" and "Spicy Chicken." This is also commonly sold in U.S supermarkets as well!

Soonhari - Fruit Flavored

When the fruit-flavored soju craze was going on half a decade ago, the global world wanted some of it. They caught on the train a little bit late, but now it's a popular alcohol product to foreign consumers. Available in flavors such as strawberry, apple mango, and blueberry, this one is a steady seller!

Marine Boy

We know Goraebap is also available in Korea, but the variations of the products, such as Marine Boy and Shark Boy, are only exclusively available outside of Korea!

Corn Buldak

Did you know that the corn flavored buldak is actually only available outside of Korea? It's crazy to think especially because Koreans love having corn in their dishes.

Bibigo Dumplings

If you live outside the country, you've definitely seen these before. Bibigo dumplings come in various sizes and flavors, and it's always a great side dish or just a snack you can munch on.

Flavored Melona

Melona is one of the most popular ice cream products in South Korea, but other flavors of the product are only available outside of South Korea! Some flavors include mango, strawberry, and banana.

Matcha Choco Pie

The matcha flavored choco pie is only available outside of Korea despite Korea's love and niche audience for their matcha products.

Flavored Milkis

Milkis is another long-time steady seller in South Korea, but the U.S offers way more flavors -- such as apple, melon, banana, and even more!

What did you think? Were some of these a surprise to you? It's without a doubt that K-food culture is continuing to grow today, and it's amazing to witness the progress of this growth. Which of these products have you tried before? Make sure to head to your local Korean supermarkets to check these out, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
