Earlier today, there were news articles stating that former Girls' Generation member Jessica was on the cast list of the popular girl group re-debut project, 'Sisters Who Make Waves' season 3.

There was a bit of commotion over this as Korean netizens found that Jessica, who was listed as contestant 22, was introduced as a "former Girls' Generation member born in the year 1989 in America" and also labeled as "Joseonjok," which is the term used for ethnic Koreans living in China.

In response, Jessica's agency Coridel Entertainment explained, "It is true that Jessica will be appearing on a Chinese audition program but we are checking if her name was really labeled as 'Joseonjok.' Additionally, Jessica has already departed from 'Girls' Generation' so she does not promote using that name or promote 'Girls' Generation' in public like that."

Jessica's agency added, "The broadcast company also didn't create that file. We think someone made a fake list and spread it."

Recently, there was a cast list for 'Sister Who Make Waves,' which is a Mango TV reality series featuring female celebrities over the age of 30 who compete for a chance to return to the stage and debut as a part of a brand new girl group.

Former Miss A members Fei and Jia appeared in the previous seasons of the show, and it garnered much attention when it was rumored that Jessica would be part of season 3.

Meanwhile, back in 2019, Jessica lost a $1.6 million USD lawsuit against her former Chinese agency for violation of her exclusive contract.

Even if it was true, people shaming her for working are just strange. Her opportunities in Korea were greatly limited yet when she finds work elsewhere people want to shame her for what it is? Gosh entitled people

sounds like Jessica would rather be recognized for her solo work than anything relating to her time in SNSD.
