On April 5 at midnight KST, Big Bang finally dropped the MV for "Still Life," which was five long years since their last MV release.
The song is an emotional track singing about the seasons of life, and each member expressed one of the seasons of the year. Since it's been such a long wait since VIPs received a new MV from their favorite group, fans were ecstatic to finally get to watch "Still Life." Some fans mentioned that they were teenagers along with Big Bang back in 2006 during the group's debut and reminisced on the journey of how they have grown older together and they're now both in their thirties. They're both in different places in their lives, but the music is still great as ever.
Fans also took to social media, such as Twitter, to share their favorite part of the music video and shared various photos and short clips from the music video.
In addition to my other comment on the main thread, this mv is truly a masterpiece. Here's more of what I got:
This is bigbang bearing their scars and being extremely vulnerable with us. They are carrying the shipwreck that is bigbang and still holding out hope and finding the beauty in it. They are leaving behind their older selves with fake smiles in front of a camera to showcase their genuine true/vulnerable selves. They are taking off their mask of pretense they had up to the world, and elevating to show their true self (another person interpreted this as they are done being sacrificial lambs). They are showing us that behind that stage where they performed is a tired person...a human being who everytime sits on that chair to direct...the chair wears a little away at their creativity...everytime they make a human mistake they are heavily scrutinized for...it wears a little away at them. It really is about the tiredness and oldness of living life but the duality of those still happy moments we capture in our minds. I love bigbang so much.
