On March 9, the Critics' Choice Awards (CCA) announced the list of winners for the 27th Annual Awards. Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, and Jung Ho Yeon from Netflix's 'Squid Game' were named as presenters.
Additionally, ‘Squid Game’ is currently nominated for three categories at the Critics' Choice Awards. It has been nominated for Best Picture in a Drama Series, Best Foreign Language Series, and Best Actor in a Drama Series.
Lee Jung Jae is currently sweeping the trophy at the American awards ceremony. Lee Jung Jae won the Best Actor Award at the 28th American Actors Guild Awards (SAG) and the 37th Independent Spirit Awards. Jung Ho Yeon won the outstanding performance by a female actor award at the 'Screen Actors Guild Awards.'
Meanwhile, the Critics' Choice Awards is one of the representative awards ceremonies in the United States. The awards are divided into film and TV categories. It is considered to be an indicator of predicting the American Academy (Oscar) awards and Emmy awards.
It has been postponed once due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 27th Critics' Choice Awards will be broadcast live on TBS in the US on March 13th.
