Captain Lee Keun, a well-known former Navy special warfare soldier who gained immense popularity through the YouTube reality show 'Fake Men', shocked many when he announced that he has left for Ukraine as a volunteer soldier against the Russian attacks.
After a few days of silence on his social media platforms, netizens began to worry for the captain's safety. However, on March 15 KST, Lee Keun made a post on his personal Instagram, confirming he was very much alive, and explained the situation he is currently in.
Below is Lee Keun's statement:
"Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Police Agency, and the public.
Thank you all for your concern. But I can't go back to Korea as of now.
The situation is very serious right now, and if all fighters withdraw, there will be nothing more left here. I will do my best to help Ukraine.
I will greet you when I return home later on.
My passport has not been invalidated yet, so don't worry. Even if it is invalidated, entry [to Korea] is always possible.
Thank you.
P.S. Attempting to re-enter Poland? Nonsense, you scamming reporters. I've never even been near the borders, and went my separate way with the members at the front line."
