BTS eats bibimbap off their commemorative Spotify plaque for 1 Billion streams of "Dynamite"

BTS recently shared a video on various social media platforms of the members eating bibimbap, a Korean mixed rice dish, off their commemorative Spotify plaque for One Billion Streams. The plaque is rewarded by Spotify when songs surpass 1 billion streams on the platform. In July 2021, the septet's "Dynamite" became the first song by a Korean act to hit this milestone.

The tradition of eating off Spotify plaques was started by Drake in September 2020 when the artist shared a video of himself eating spaghetti off his Spotify plaque for a Billion streams on "In My Feelings."

Afterward, several artists like Halsey, Joe Jonas, DJ Khaled, Bebe Rexha, Major Lazer joined in on the trend by sharing their photos and videos while enjoying meals out of their own Spotify plaques. Spotify acknowledged the trend by displaying said content in their introduction video of the BILLIONS CLUB playlist.
