With the recent presidential election in Korea, netizens have been looking for clues regarding which candidate celebrities voted for, and have targeted several after the celebrities wore or used colors affiliated with the two main parties - red or blue.

Kang Daniel's attempt to avoid this issue in his recent White Day livestream on V LIVE has spread online, with netizens sympathizing with his worry about using colors that would give an indication of his political affiliation.

In the livestream, Kang Daniel decorated holiday baskets to give away to fans. When he spotted the red and blue decorations, he said with a laugh, "I will be avoiding these colors. There was an election recently and I am not meaning to show my affiliation…." After noticing he had already used a purple decoration, he exclaimed “I didn't mean to combine them! Please don't misunderstand. I'm scared, please don't misunderstand."
