On February 5, the designer behind the luxury jewelry brand 'Diligems' went into depth about the process of working on HyunA and Dawn's engagement rings.
The designer posted,
"I had the honor of designing an exciting pair of rings for the dreamiest of couples.
I would like to point out that they were customized for the couple ONLY and will never be duplicated.
The rings are made of white gold with opals as their main stones and 7 diamonds of different shapes and colors.
Dawn came to my studio to discuss the design for over a month and even chose the opals and diamonds himself.
We also ran into technical difficulties delaying the process and were pushed to try new things to resolve the problems.
So much love, effort and time went into the rings and it’s low-key killing me to see people idly jumping to conclusions about the pieces without any type of proactive inquiry or due diligence.
To be frank, the cost of their rings paid for my year’s rent."
Through a follow-up Instagram story post, the designer particularly emphasized that HyunA and Dawn's rings were custom-made, and they will remain one of a kind with no more duplicates being made.
Meanwhile, HyunA and Dawn surprised fans by announcing their engagement via Instagram back on the evening of February 3. Dawn first posted via his Instagram, "Marry Me?" while showing two hands clad in colorful, matching engagement rings. HyunA then reposted this and wrote, "Of course it's a Yes!"
So there were comments about the rings looking cheap?
Why do people think they can put a price tag on the way you show your partner how much you love them?
If you think the worth of a present defines the amount of love you give or receive... you probably haven't really been in love yet.
