Junsu (XIA) tests positive for COVID-19

Junsu (XIA) has tested positive for COVID-19, his agency Palmtree Island confirmed on February 6 KST.

According to the agency's statement, Junsu had taken five rapid tests after being notified that an actor in a project he was currently working in had tested positive for COVID-19. All five had said that he did not have the virus. However, he later tested positive through a PCR test conducted alongside others involved in the production.

The agency stated that Junsu was vaccinated and had also received a Moderna booster shot. Previous to his diagnosis, he had also regularly received rapid and PCR tests before attending to his different schedules.

In accordance with the authority guidelines, Junsu has canceled all scheduled events and is taking necessary quarantine measures.

"We will continue to do our best for the health and safety of our artists by complying with the quarantine guidelines of the health authorities," the agency assured.
