The rookie girl group Kep1er set a new record with their debut.
According to Hanteo Chart, a South Korean album sales record site, Kep1er's debut album 'First Impact,' sold more than 200,000 copies within a week of its release. With this, the new girl group ranked first place with the most number of debut albums sold within the first week of sales.
This album sales record surpasses the debut album sales record for the girl group IVE that debuted on December 1st and STAYC, a group that debuted back in November 2020.
In particular, 'First Impack' recorded the highest initial sales among the rookie groups that debuted last year and this year. The initial sales refer to the sales volume during the first week of the album release.
The album title track "WA DA DA" entered various music charts in the U.S, Japan, the U.K, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, and Thailand. Additionally, the music video for "WA DA DA" reached 30 million views on YouTube as of the morning of January 10.
Kep1er is a nine-member multinational girl group that debuted after the members competed in the Mnet survival audition program 'Girls Planet 999' in October of last year.
WA DA DA is such a good song! Every member was shining and I absolutely loved it . (Just my opinion tho)
Anyways, super proud of these girls.
