j-hope's side by side mini-bag and HOPE pot set merchandise are currently the fastest BTS Artist-Made Collection to be sold out. Each sold out in under 49 seconds and 36 seconds respectively in the US store and 41 seconds and 44 seconds respectively in the Global store.

So, let's start...what is j-hope's artist-made collection? On January 17, j-hope's own designed merchandise was revealed by HYBE MERCH on their Twitter:

Fans were immediately captivated by the items and how personalized and thoughtful they were. It was clear how j-hope designed the bag with certain ideas in mind: style, comfort, and meaning!

He showed great attention to detail: a truly balancing style with comfort. He thought the bag would be too "plain" if everything was denim, so he added a chain strap for style. However, he also made sure to add a shoulder pad so it wouldn't hurt the person using it:  

Next, he reduced the font size of his logo and went for a subtle font for the purpose of a luxurious style!

The significance of the bag's name is also very important - fans were quick to notice how "side by side" and the bag's blue color reminded them of j-hope's song "Blue Side." However, this was what Hoseok had to say in particular:

So, Hoseok wanted fans to feel a personal connection with the item and for them to be reminded of their bond with one another.

This is also evident in the design for the zippers - when put together. They form an infinity symbol - inspiring thoughtfulness through and through!

Finally, and the most creative of all, is how each of the bags are special:

This theme also continues with the HOPE pots, of which j-hope intended ARMY's to personalize them as they wish:

He gave them his own personal touch by printing his own verse from the BTS song "Magic Shop" on each:

"Like a rose when it blooms
Like a cherry blossom when it scatters

These lyrics date back to 2015, when Hoseok wrote this verse in his "thanks to" message in the HYYH pt.1 album:

Evidently, every little detail is important to him!
