As Yoo Jae Suk tested positive for COVID19, MBC's Entertainment show 'Hang Out with Yoo' has suffered a fatal blow, and the production team announced that the 'Acorn Festival' concert was canceled.
The production team made the announcement on December 13 and explained that all the staff members are undergoing PCR exams after Yoo Jae Suk tested positive for COVID19. The production team explained they had to cancel the 'Acorn Festival' as they could not postpone the event.
The production team further explained, "We're contacting the winners individually. The revised schedule will be announced later after we confirm the schedules of the artists and audience members in the future." The production team also explained they will air the 118th episode as scheduled on the 18th since the episode was filmed prior to Yoo Jae Suk's testing positive.
It was revealed that 'Hang Out With Yoo' was able to invite artists who were popular in the early 2000s, such as Younha, Epik High, and Sunny Hill, for the 'Acorn Festival.' In addition, members such as Haha and Mi Joo, including Yoo Jae Suk, were planning to participate in the performances.
Such a shame. I haven't seen Epik High in such a variety show in a long time and I would've been excited to see them w/ Yoo Jae Suk. I hope he gets well soon and I hope Epik High can appear on a YJS show in the near future.
