South Korea's President Moon Jae In tweeted a congratulatory message to BTS.
On November 23KST, President Moon Jae In took to his Twitter to write a personal message to BTS, congratulating them on winning the 'Artist of the Year' award at the 'American Music Awards'.
Below is South Korea's President Moon Jae In's message:
"I send big congratulations and gratitude toward BTS for their daesang award at the AMA.
Last month, the United State's global think tank ‘Center for Strategic and International Studies(CSIS)’ held an unprecedented conference with the topic of ‘South Korea’s Soft Power'. At the conference, 'Joseph Nye', who coined the concept of soft power, praised South Korea and said we were the most dynamic soft power in the world and were showing remarkable economic success with our vibrant democracy. This means that South Korea’s culture is dominating the world and this is also demonstrating the strength in our national character and diplomacy.
BTS being awarded the grand prize at this year’s AMAs confirms this fact once again.
Previously, news of this conference has been only partially reported, and the reason why I’m bringing it up again is due to the fact that I suddenly thought of Joseph Nye's words. Nye said it like this. 'In the past 60 years, even though there has been no other country more successful than South Korea, a very large number of Korean people think they are weak and have fallen behind others. That has influence on their optimism and creativity.'
How is it for everyone?
From now on, isn't it worth gaining confidence and pride?"
Wow ! Very uplifting message !
BTS deserved the recognition from the President of South Korea and we are so proud of the boys.
Congratulations BTS 👏
