Earlier today, Label SJ confirmed that Super Junior member Shindong had tested positive for COVID-19 as of November 11.
Shindong is currently under quarantine and will follow all safety guidelines accordingly, and Label SJ assured that he was not in close contact with other Super Junior members, or the members of JTBC's 'Knowing Brothers', near the time frame when he came in contact with the virus.
Now, insiders have revealed that Shindong was in fact vaccinated when he tested positive for COVID-19. According to these insiders, "Shindong received the 'Johnson & Johnson' vaccine a good while ago. He was actually scheduled to receive his booster shot next week."
Previously, INFINITE member Sunggyu also garnered attention for testing positive for COVID-19 approximately 3 weeks after receiving his 'Johnson & Johnson' vaccine.
Meanwhile, South Korea is currently distributing vaccines from 'Johnson & Johnson', 'Pfizer', 'Moderna', and 'AstraZeneca'.
Just in case, the vaccine is NOT a cure. You can still get the virus even if vaccinated. The point of the vaccine is to minimize the symptoms from the virus, if you get it.
