BLACKPINK's Lisa has set a new record for K-Pop solo artists on leading music streaming platform Spotify!
On October 18 KST, YG Entertainment announced that the idol's song "Money," the B-side track of her recent single album, achieved 100 million streams on Spotify that day. As the song was released on September 10, this milestone was reached in only 37 days, setting the record for the song that reached 100 million streams fastest by a K-Pop solo artist.
The record was previously held by Lisa's BLACKPINK groupmates. Rosé's solo single "On The Ground" received the title when it reached 100 million streams in 71 days. Before that, it was Jennie's "Solo," which reached 100 million in 125 days. Currently, all three are the top female K-Pop solo artists on the platform.
Meanwhile, "Money" has become the 19th song from BLACKPINK to reach 100 million streams.
Congratulations to Lisa and BLINK!
It's kind of funny that the b-side track has blown up a lot more than Lalisa did
