Comedian Park Na Rae opened up about her past stage fright, on Channel A's 'Oh Eun Young's Golden Counseling Center'.
On September 17 KST, the first episode of Channel A's variety show 'Oh Eun Young's Golden Counseling Center' was broadcast. On this day, Park Na Rae, Dr. Oh Eun Young, comedian Jung Hyung Don, and actress Lee Yoon Ji offered consultations to singer Ailee and actor Lee Tae Sung. 'Oh Eun Young's Golden Counseling Center' is a new national mental health care program that invites guests to listen to their stories and work on finding solutions to their various concerns.
During Ailee's time to share her concerns, Park Na Rae sympathized with Ailee's struggles with stage fright, confessing that she also had a time when she faced this difficulty. Park Na Rae revealed, "My non-famous days were long. During those times, group talk shows were trendy, and I became a regular on one of those shows. But before the filming for the broadcasts, I woud have thoughts such as 'I wish I would get into a car accident'." She continued, "The day before my broadcast shows, I would open the refridgerator and see an expired triangle kimbap, and think to myself 'if I eat this and get a stomachache, would I be able to avoid going to filming for the broadcast?' I was thankful for the opportunities, but on the inside, I felt guilty for not showing these [thoughts]."
'Oh Eun Young's Golden Counseling Center' airs every Friday night, at 9:30PM KST.
That may sound extreme, but people with anxiety have such thoughts. It's good that she can talk about it now.
