Mnet launched a new dance competition show, 'Street Woman Fighter,' where the top Korean female dance crews come together to fight for the title of being the best.
Starting from the first episode, former IZ*ONE member Chaeyeon was selected by other dance crew members as being the weakest contestant as she took on numerous 'No Respect' stickers from the other contestants. In the following episode, Chaeyeon continued to be called on, leading to her complete defeat. With Chaeyeon's team receiving four black chips of defeat, the former IZ*ONE member could no longer hold back her tears. Chaeyeon was seen sobbing in the arms of her crew members as she felt apologetic that her team had been defeated multiple times.
During another episode, IZ*ONE's Lee Chae Yeon drew attention as a contestant, with many dancers suggesting that she cannot dance because she is an idol. The next scene shows her crying in a break room while saying, "I can't dance anymore." With more and more pressure building up for Chaeyeon, she was once again seen shedding tears in the latest episode of 'Street Woman Fighter.'
In this episode, Chaeyeon said, "I feel so bad and apologetic because I keep losing the battles." Her fellow dance team members comforted her telling her not be feel sorry and apologetic. However, Chaeyeon continued to say she could no longer dance and was breaking from the pressure of the dance competition.
Netizens soon gathered to an online community to discuss how they felt about the latest episode as many netizens are feeling bad for the idol group member. Netizens commented, "It's a relief that her teammates are so warm-hearted, but I feel worried about Chaeyeon's mentality," "I just feel so bad for Chaeyeon," "I'm tired of Mnet's cliche storyline in these entertainment shows but I just straight up feel bad for Chaeyeon," "I'm really worried about Chaeyeon's mental health," "She's crying on every episode," "She's going through so much on this show," and "I would cry too if I was picked as the worst and then went to do the dance battle and came in last, becoming the worst dancer."
I mean, when you're one of the main characters of the show and get targeted all the time, I would say it's alright to cry. She should have her head up high because while she doesn't freestyle well, she can dance a choreographed dance really well.
