Girls' Generation's YoonA will be narrating for the barrier-free version of the film 'House of Hummingbird' (directed by Kim Bo Ra).
In July, the Barrier Free Film Commission held the narration recording for the production of the barrier-free version of the film 'House of Hummingbird' at the Seoul Business Agency (SBA). Director Kim Bo Ra stated, "It was a precious experience directing in a way that was very different from normal. I lacked a lot because it was my first time [directing a barrier-free version film], but I was able to learn how to direct in different methods in order to approach audiences more closely."
YoonA, who participated in narrating for the barrier-free version film, said, "I normally like narrations, and I did not hesistate before participating because a barrier-free narration is an opportunity that is so much more meaningful. I was especially happy to narrate the barrier-free version for 'House of Hummingbird'. Not only is 'House of Hummingbird' a movie that won many awards at the film awards, but it was a movie that I watched and was deeply impressed by, and liked it so much that I went around recommending it to all those around me." She continued, "In order for many more individuals to be able to feel the good projects in the future, I hope for barrier-free version productions to become much more diverse. Also, it was a very meaningful time to be able to participate with my voice. Please continue to support barrier-free films."
I had to look up 'barrier free movies' to understand: it means they add narration describing the visuals on screen so visual impaired people can enjoy it.
