Actor Joo Sang Wook has been cast as the male lead in the upcoming historical drama series, 'Taejong Lee Bang Won'.
According to insiders on August 9th, the actor has been confirmed as the male lead in the upcoming KBS drama series. 'Taejong Lee Bang Won' will be 36 episodes long and will take on a traditional approach based on official Korean history.
KBS has halted its production of historical dramas due to funding issues, however, the broadcast station decided to reintroduce the historical drama to reinforce its role as the national public broadcaster of Korea.
'Taejong Lee Bang Won' will premiere at the end of this year if the production schedule doesn't get delayed.

I'm in awe of the mystic of Lee Bang Won, but at this point, I kinda really want other historical figures to be portrayed. Lee Bang Won and Jeong Do-jeon and their entire ordeal has already been done well IMO.
