Former GFriend member Yuju is in talks to join Kang Daniel's label Konnect Entertainment.
On August 11, media outlets reported Yuju recently sat down for a meeting with the label to sign an exclusive contract, and Konnect Entertainment responded that nothing has been confirmed. The agency stated, "We're planning on expanding our artist lineup, but nothing has been finalized. Yuju is one of the artists we met during that process."
Konnect Entertainment is home to Kang Daniel, who's also the CEO, and former 2NE1 member CL recently signed on with the label to manage her domestic activities.
As previously reported, all 6 members of GFriend parted ways with Source Music this past May.

I thinks it’s very smart of her to want to sign with a label started by an artist. I think artists themselves know what it’s like to be judged and used by the higher power. Now she probably gets to keep more of the profits than worrying that the ceo wants a bigger cut. Kang Daniels already made a name for himself and earns a lot. He doesn’t need to benefit from other artists as his main income. It’s a mutually beneficial situation. Yuju would probably be able to have less rules and do what she wants. Idols knows what it’s like to be restricted by their labels. So I’m sure having A younger idol like kang daniel run the agency, the artist signing knows they would have more free will and be able to freely make their own artistic decisions.
