Fans around the world celebrate the 2nd anniversary of V's 'Winter Bear' by donating to child cancer foundation, underprivileged elders, animal shelters, and more

BTS member V released his first English pop-rock ballad, 'Winter Bear' exactly 2 years ago (August 10, 2019) on SoundCloud and YouTube as a present for his fans.

Within just 2 years after its release, the song accumulated over 77M views and 5.1M likes on YouTube, despite being an official release.

The melodic and cozy track with its acoustic guitar and violin create a soothing vibe. It features English lyrics and is accompanied by a retro-inspired music video, also self-directed by V, that perfectly matches the song’s nostalgic feel. V’s deep and soulful voice and his love for film and photography are remarkable signatures of the song.

To celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Winter Bear, fans trended #2YearsWithWinterBear and GOOD DAY WITH V, which took over #1 and #2 spots on Worldwide trends, respectively.

To commemorate the occasion, V’s fan bases from across the globe have graciously contributed to non-profitable organizations in their countries.

Fans from Paraguay, Africa, The Philippines, the U.S., Australia, and the UAE donated to Child cancer patients, low-income and underprivileged children, child daycare centers, and childhood development programs.

Other fans from the Philippines and Malaysia gave a donation to women and elders organizations that support girls in need of sanitary protection and assist elders who lack emotional and material help.

Additionally, fans from the United States, Myanmar, and Bangladesh made a contribution to the families affected by the pandemic by providing food, hand sanitizer, disinfectant, and more.

Meanwhile, fanbases from Chile, Syria, Qatar, and Latin America adopted pets and sent donations to animal welfare organizations and shelters, as well as environment protection programs.

Apart from the generous donations, fans from Bolivia, Nepal, and South Korea organized SNS and TV ads and displayed outdoor screen advertisements.

It's heartwarming to see that more than 15 donation projects were carried out by BTS V fans in various regions. The initiative to help others is derived from the kind, caring, and selfless nature of the artist himself.
