Lately, Kim Taehyung has been listening to Louis Armstrong's music again. V is someone who finds himself in peace while listening to classic songs, and he considers that it is important for the artist to set the mood for listeners. All the frustrating things disappear, and suddenly, he is able to take pictures in his head while getting the vibe of the song he is listening to at the moment, setting up a beautiful mood.

Inspired by American singer Sammy Davis Jr. during "Dynamite," V found some new inspirations from Billy Joel and old teen movies to get the right vibe for "Butter," ending up in his performance and outfits looking like Johnny Depp's "Cry Baby" movie, which had a really intense effect on V. "Butter" was like a teen musical. So V confirmed it to be done in that way, and that's why he wanted to try the shoot at the elevator as if he was part of a teen movie. These kinds of movies are interesting for him, as he tends to feel the bright energy and the peculiar mood that everyone experiences at that age. The sunny emotions are not really there, and as V says, the color itself feels like some kind of a filter. He tried to put all of these in his performance and, of course, in the music video. But while speaking about "Permission To Dance," he admits that the sunny image people think about while imagining teen movies is the one they used for this single, being the concept the same, but the vibes were divided for both songs. Of course, this wasn't a big deal when it comes to V's vocal abilities.

When they are given a concept, they need to adapt their vocal techniques that fit that concept, not to change their vocals. Hence, V admits to feeling relatively satisfied with his voice for "Butter," although his notes were a little high for him, he managed to hit them correctly. As a vocalist, he had been working for a long time to make up his "weak points," and since his voice is very deep, he sings in a low and flowing way. Therefore, he was mad when he was assigned to sing the high notes during the chorus of "Dynamite." Instead of seeing his results after all the effort, he did for "Butter" comparing to previous performances, V says that he is trying not to rest on his laurels. He prefers to keep working hard as always than to savor the feeling of victory, which is actually a very humble thought. Because of promotions, V is not following his pace and pattern yet in music as he wanted to for the 2021 New Year Eve's resolution. "It can be challenging sometimes, but in a way, I think it’s also given me a good opportunity to become a little stronger."

Everyone had a hard time during these years of the pandemic, which is an obvious statement, but frankly, it must never be forgotten how all of us could meet our inner demons. "Blue & Grey" is a song written by V, who was also going through a hard time just like everybody else, and he wanted to let ARMY know about his feelings and the rest of BTS's feelings as well, including the pain that involved their growth process. The first line of the song, "Where is my angel?", has become a topic from many answers made to V. He says that, even if he is not a religious person, he closes his eyes and tries to think about an angel who is actually listening to him and the questions he tends to do to this angel, or maybe, just himself. He is someone who writes down his emotions in his personal diary or the notes app, hoping that someday these feelings will be helpful to write a song. Just like this, and after a round of drinks with his friends, V was able to write "Snow Flower" in about three hours and got help from his close friend, producer, and rapper Peakboy. Trying to be in the zone of doing melodies and not make the composition obvious, he changed the melody flowing for "Blue & Grey."

He wrote "Snow Flower" based on his separated thoughts between snow and a flower, his desire for flowers to keep blooming on snowy days, and enjoying how the world could become blanketed in snow. After this declaration, the interviewer pointed out that "it must be important to feel things intuitively" when expressing the thoughts through song. "If it sounds pretty to me: approved," says V while laughing. The sentiment of being an artist and idol won't change even if they had become at this point of success. V admits it's fun to do performances, but it's also hard, since he thinks that idols should shine in a way that is suitable for their age. Staying connected with ARMY and doing a lot of things for a fandom like them is what they think is very important. Kim Taehyung has made it clear how he wanted to become ARMY's best friend, he finds himself feeling better after hearing ARMY's story through the Weverse platform, and he can't help but to reply to some of these stories. "I want us to be more than the Billboard number one Bangtanies—I want to be ARMY’s partner, their best friend, the friend who’s always by their side when we’re not on stage," he says, and adds the fact that he is sure about a lot of ARMY being tired of not being able to see BTS in person. For V, ARMY is that type of friend he would never want to lose and for whom he is willing to do anything to make them happy.

Living well is the key, and V can get this exact feeling while listening to "No. 1 Party Anthem" by the English rock band Arctic Monkeys. He describes feeling all emotional and getting goosebumps as soon as he hears this song. V wanted ARMY to know about this and to have them sharing thoughts with him. He admits not knowing the lyrics of it, but he is sure about understanding the sort of emotion that the melody and the band's performance give to him. The interviewer then asks him if this is the kind of emotion that he might want to have as an artist, not having to express everything in detail. "I just want to exchange the good, and be the one to embrace the bad. So I have a desire to perfect one cool thing about myself", he responded. V is just about 2% from getting to that goal, and he knows he'll be getting up that percentage someday later.
