The month of June 2021 has ended, and fans are celebrating various achievements that BTS's Jimin has added to his already long list of achievements, with all the new achievements falling within the same day. The new additions ranged from new milestones in his widely popular solo song 'Filter', to emerging as the winner in various voting polls. Hashtags such as #FilterByJimin170M, #FilterNo1Hot50WorldSong, and #JiminKdolEmperor11Months were used to celebrate the various achievements.
For starters, Jimin's Filter surpassed 170 million streams on Spotify, thereby breaking the record of the Fastest unpromoted Korean solo song, and Korean Male solo song, to cross this mark.
This new feat sees Filter maintaining it's position as the second most-streamed solo song under the BTS discography on Spotify, having risen to this position in just one year and four months since the release of the song in the Map Of The Soul: 7 album in February 21, 2020. It also continues to be the most streamed solo song from the Map of the Soul: 7 album. Jimin is the only BTS member with all three of his solo songs ranking in the top five of the most streamed BTS songs on Spotify, the largest music streaming platform.
Within the same day, Filter Official Audio had also surpassed 61 million streams on YouTube, remaining the most-streamed official audio track by a Korean soloist on the platform.
Additionally, Filter's popularity was reflected in a poll, where it had been nominated on King Choice for the 'Hot 50 World Songs June 2021' poll. The poll had a total of 50 nominated songs from Korean as well as western artists, and featured solo as well as group songs. The voting period was from the beginning to the end of June. Filter emerged as the winner, having garnered a total of 6,971,092 total votes, translating to 6,675,449 in actual votes.
In another poll that was running through out the month of June on KDOL ME, Jimin took first place in the poll's monthly ranking. He collected a total of 98,270,340 heart votes, thereby retaining his crown as the top-ranking idol on the site for 11 consecutive months. KDOL ME is a voting app that allows fans to vote and cheer for their bias.
In a different poll held by KPOPVOTE for Best K-Pop Male Dancer 2021, which also ended on June 30th, there were 10 nominees selected for this crown. Once again Jimin won the poll after acquiring 166,792 votes out of the total number of cast votes, 286,479 ( about 58% of the votes).
Jimin has become a household name in dance, and the poll results once again reaffirmed his position as the top performer in the industry. Earlier on in the year, in the month of April, Jimin had also been crowed as the Best Male Dancer in a poll by Dabeme, which saw him hold this crown for three consecutive years.
This same day also saw Jimin's other solo songs on the Soundcloud music platform achieving new milestones, with 'Christmas Love' crossing 27 million streams and 'Promise' crossing 279 million streams, remaining as the most streamed track on the platform.
Other achievements in the last day of the month included Jimin's individual hashtag surpassing 50 billion views on TikTok, remaining as the second most-viewed individual hashtag in the history of the platform. The top three hashtags related to Jimin on the platform currently have combined views of 67.3 billion, whereas the top 7 have combined views of 76.4 billion.
On a different social media platform, Instagram, Jimin recorded new achievements as well. BTS have been dropping concept photos or their upcoming Butter CD over the past few days, and so far they have dropped four versions of the concept photos. Jimin's Concept Photo Version 3 surpassed 6 million likes in 22 hours and 57 minutes, becoming the fastest individual post by a Korean male act to achieve this feat. Jimin also attained 7 million likes the Concept Photo Version 1 in under 54 hours, his first individual post to reach this mark on the group's official account.
Fans have started the new month in high spirits and more determined to support Jimin for his talent.
