BLACKPINK Rosé's song "On The Ground", the title track of her solo album '-R-', hit 200 million views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment, Rosé's "On The Ground" music video surpassed 200 million views on YouTube, as of July 13th at 4:56AM KST. Rosé, as a solo artist, has achieved this just 123 days since the release of her solo album on March 12th.
"On The Ground" has received a lot of love from global fans for its use of colorful and magnificent visuals, as well as the emotional lyrics relayed by Rosé's rich vocals and heartfelt acting. Rosé also previously broke the record for achieving 100 million views on YouTube with "On The Ground" in the shortest period ever achieved, among all Korean female solo artists. Further, Rosé's "On The Ground" topped the iTunes 'Top Song Chart' and the US Billboard 'Global Chart' in 51 different countries at the time of its release. Rosé has once again proven her power as a solo artist, with this new achievement.
Congratulations Rosé!
Honestly the song isn't my cup of tea. It's kind of mleh and I don't feel like it plays to the strengths of her vocals or unique attributes. When she covered John Mayer's "Slow dancing in a burning room," now that really impressed me. We need more of that Rose.
