The ranking of “Top 100 Most Searched K-pop Idol on Google Worldwide for 2021 (Mid-year chart)” has just been released.

The data is collected from Google Trends for the period of 2021.01.01 - 2021.06.28, which is the first half of 2021. 

BTS Jungkook ranks first place, becomes the most searched K-pop idol on Google worldwide for 2021 so far. Google is the largest search engine in the world, and this further cements his spot as the “Worldwide IT Boy” and the most popular K-pop idol worldwide.

In addition, Jungkook has been the most searched K-pop idol on Google for the past 5 years (2017-2021).

For the first half of 2021, Jungkook also owns the most retweteed Tweet, and the second most-liked Tweet (second to current U.S. President Joe Biden). This further proves his unrivalled worldwide popularity, living up to his status as the “King of SNS.”

Jungkook is also the most popular K-pop star for 3 years in a row (2018-2020) according to Tumblr, and his individual hashtag on TikTok has garnered a whopping 55 billion views, the most-watched in the platform history.
