BTS might have not won a Grammy Award, but they still made history.
The '63rd Grammy Awards' took place this past Sunday, March 14 at 8 PM EST, airing live via CBS and through Mnet in Korea. BTS made history as the first-ever Korean artist not only to perform at the ceremony, but to be nominated for an award - Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The award ultimately went to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's "Rain on Me". However, BTS still awed and made history with their amazing performance of "Dynamite", which was pre-recorded in Yeouido.
I'm happy for them, but man it is upsetting to know that every single award show in America is basically doing the same thing. They nominate BTS either for an award that doesn't matter that much to them, or an award they're not going to win to have a reason to have them perform. They announce this to attract their fans, and then they have the fans wait the entire show until the last 10-20 minutes for their performance so that ARMY don't immediately turn the channel once their performance is done.
Also, slightly annoyed that they didn't have a dance break or anything.
