[User Post] Baekhyun's weight comment on Sehun sparks a debate within the EXO fandom

On February 19th, EXO's Sehun went on Instagram live to catch up with fans. While the live stream was a normal one, for the most part, a particular moment had EXO-L discussing.

During the Instagram live, EXO's youngest member revealed that he has stopped eating in order to lose weight since someone had said he had gained weight, and when asked who was the person in question, Sehun replied that it was his fellow member Baekhyun.

This comment soon sparked a conversation within the EXO fandom on whether or not Baekhyun was in the right to speak about his fellow member's weight. Many fans came to Baekhyun's defense, citing that he wasn't trying to be mean and saying it in a positive way. That both Baekhyun and Sehun are friends; thus, he wouldn't have meant this in a malicious way.

But, others were quick to point out that though both members might be close, making comments about one's weight is not something you want to do as it could be a triggering topic to them or could affect their self-esteem. They were also quick to point out that Baekhyun himself should've known better than that as he himself has been the subject of comments regarding his weight in the past.

This conversation also made certain EXO fans call out the rest of the fandom on their double standards regarding weight comments made towards the members.

In context, it appears Baekhyun was happier to see Sehun gain weight as in his own V Live, he stated in the past that Sehun would eat very little.
