Former Leessang rapper Gil is facing a number of rumors involving misogyny, cursing IU, and driving people to suicide.
Producer Ahn Jin Woong aka TANK, who worked with Gil in the past, made a number of claims against the rapper. TANK alleges Gil is using his family and reports of his donations to good causes to clean up his image in the public's eye, and Gil is actually living without reflecting on his multiple DUI charges.
TANK alleged Gil was misogynistic, assaulted his manager, dated 4 women at once and still had one-night stands, gave producers slave contracts, didn't pay his employees on time, and threatened TANK in the past. The producer revealed he and a few other producers were tasked with writing a song for Gil, stating, "He basically locked me and 3 other producers in the 'Infinity Challenge' practice room in Apgujeong-Rodeo, gave me a check card of 1.2 million Won ($1,083.98 USD), and told me to use that for food for 4 months."
The producer added that Gil demanded they only eat cheap food and would often verbally abuse and assault them, explaining, "I was in my early 20s at the time, and I thought it was normal."
TANK further claimed Gil was a misogynist who dated 4 women at the same time, including the late actress Oh In Hye who took her own life in September of last year. He stated, "Gil had 4 girlfriends at the time, one of whom was the late Oh In Hye. She was such a warm, kind, beautiful person... She knew the passcode to his house and started organizing things and cleaning the house as if it was natural... Of course, we thought he would say something nice to her, but the words that came out his mouth while he slammed the door was shocking. 'F***, you're so damn loud.'" The producer also alleged Gil had cursed out IU after she sent him a karaoke video of herself and then-boyfriend Jang Ki Ha, saying, "Bullshit, this f****** b****."
It's also alleged that Gil regularly took advantage of those working for him, even verbally abusing and assaulting his manager. Allegedly, Yoo Jae Suk and HaHa would regularly scold Gil during 'Infinity Challenge' filming sessions because of his behavior towards his then-manager.
Finally, TANK stated he was contacted by Gil's former manager because of their collaboration song "Horangnabi". Though TANK was the lead producer of the track, he claims Gil was the one who hummed along to a version by Kim Heung Kook.

If these allegations were true, I bet, this is one of the few reason why Leessang disbanded. Gary can't take Gil's attitude any longer. I love Leessang especially their songs featuring Jungin. But Gil having this kind of attitude, it's sad.
