Lee Hyori's love of animals is receiving spotlight.

The January 8th segment of 'Woman Who Runs the Charts' on 'Entertainment Relay Live' was a special about stars who love animals, and as expected, Lee Hyori featured on the list. In the past, Lee Hyori revealed why she began to adopt animals, saying, "I felt that these pets who once received so much love and were abandoned when they got old are like celebrities."

On a different occasion, the singer expressed, "I want protecting animals to become a trend. I want you to think that it would be better to adopt an animal like Lee Hyori did than to buy one." As for her famous pet dog Soonsim, Lee Hyori said with love, "When I was volunteering at an animal shelter, he stood out to me. I went to a shelter where there were hundreds of them, but he stood out especially." 

In other news, Lee Hyori's beloved pet dog Soonshim passed away late last year.
