“It wasn’t a big role.” - Park Jimin on being the Project Manager.

On November 20, BTS officially released its latest album, 'BE.' Jimin, with members RM, Jin, Jhope, V, and Jungkook attended the Global Press Conference.

During the press conference, Jimin once again explained his role as the Project Manager.

“I was the Project Manager for Music of this album. Actually, Suga strongly suggested I should take on the role. I gathered the opinion of the members, organized that, and delivered it to the staff. When we started working on the album, we talked about what topics we should go with, and the keyword “Life Goes On” came up. RM suggested we should show that whatever happens outside, everyone’s lives go on, and we should show how we keep going even when everything has changed.”

During the press conference, Jimin kept humbly saying that he didn’t do that much as a project manager. Consequently, BTS leader RM rebutted it and said that Jimin took the most difficult role as a project manager, thanked and praised him for his hard work.

Earlier, Jimin expressed his hopes that BTS ARMYs would appreciate and support all of the songs from their new album and, if possible, chart them on major music markets. Their album BE topped US iTunes and sold 1.6 million copies in just 90 minutes on its day of release. It is something that would surely make the PM proud and happy.

Immediately after the release of the album, Jimin trended worldwide and in several countries with several keywords. Jimin has been praised for his amazing vocals and killing parts he took in BE.

Further, Jimin’s solo song ”Filter” charted on Melon as the highest BTS solo song just after the release of “BE.”

Park Jimin’s Google searches peaked at a 100 score worldwide and in the USA, India & Canada following the BE global press conference.

Meanwhile, during the “BE” comeback countdown on Youtube, Jimin raised the expectations of fans for his solo works, which he said will be released in 2021.

V: Alright, third question. Jimin, your song Filter is really famous

Jimin: Thank you.

V: Where’s the second Filter? When are you releasing it?

Jimin: (Laughed)

V: Your original song

Jimin: Oh, you’re asking when I’m releasing an original song? I’m not really preparing to release an original song at the moment. I’m still trying different things, practicing and finding my own voice. I’ll try to make a high-quality original song that you guys can listen to soon.

V: Can we look forward to one in 2021?

Jimin: You can expect something in 2021.

V: How about June 2021?

Jimin: That’s a little early.

V: July 2021.

Jimin: We’ll decide that later.

V: Okay. August it is.

Jimin: (laughed out loud) I’ll discuss this with V about this.

V: Okay, August

Jimin: I’ll get a lot of help.

V: All right.
