When Z-girls and Boys were revealed last year, there was a lot of attention and buzz surrounding these rookies. Many people thought the first time many asian nationalities outside of East Asia and Thailand, were given the chance to debut as a Kpop idols. They debuted with english songs, and weren't welcomed to korean music shows, because they didn't sing in korean.
On May 6, the head company former Cozmic Group, announced they were rebranding to Divtone Entertainment. In the process, the korean company Zenith Media Contents, who they have been in partnership since the beginning of the project, was discontinued. Meaning they have lost a connection to Korea, and might relocate to Singapore, where Divtone has their office.
Joanne, the taiwanese representation of Z-Girls, left because of health reason on June 2.
With connection to Korea and Kpop severed, what does the future hold for ZPOP Dream?
While I don't consider them to be KPOP, I did like their song Streets of Gold. Hopefully they can find success in the future.
