http://naver.me/5qt90rGd
This ends it cleanly.
1st Gen: HOT, Sechskies, SES, Finkl
2nd Gen: DBSK, Bigbang, SNSD, Wonder Girls, KARA
3rd Gen: BTS, EXO, Twice, Black Pink
4th Gen: Stray Kids, TXT, Izone, (G)I-dle
The idols who didn't get mentioned are just the ones that are in an awkward position in their generation ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ.

1. [+333, -14]Looks like he just put anyone in that 4th Gen
2. [+243, -3]Fact is that the 4th generation still hasn't opened yet. We need to be over the 3rd Gen for the 4th Gen to start. The "4th Gen" in that article is actually 3.5
3. [+97, -7]Why are Stray Kids there..?
4. [+72, -10]Even Wanna One isn't there but Izone is ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ looks like the journalist is an Wizone
5. [+54, -16]I can somehow agree. There are a lot of people talking about RV but to be honest, their results have been too inconsistent. When they do well, they hit super big, but they also have a lot of songs that didn't do so well;;; Also, they do have a reasonable amount of fans but I think that compared to the ones mentioned above, their sales numbers are a bit lacking in comparison.. I don't think that they are the top, but they are not the 2nd rank either since their results are much better. I think that they are rank 1.5
6. [+44, -2]4th Gen hasn't even started yet. There's just nobody
I DISAGREE with that list!
If We take as a reference that there are only 4 generations, (although I do not agree that there are only 4 generations since in reality there are many more generations, -I'll explain later-).
My analysis about who are the True Tops kpop groups of each gen. Based on who are the Most Awarded Kpop groups with also most international or global domination & most influential from each generation:
.
1er gen: only H.O.T.
2nd gen: SNSD, BIG BANG and SUPER JUNIOR/DBSK.
3rd gen: BTS and EXO
4th gen: It is still not very clear, but maybe it could be: TXT.
..
Referring to the generations, I do not agree that there are only 4 generations, because there are many more. I'll explain you.
In 1997 it was said that Seo Taiji and Boys and DJ DOC 're 1st gen. while H.O.T is the new gen. (2nd gen).
in 2004 it was said that Seo Taiji and Boys, DJ DOC and H.O.T 're the 1st gen while DBSK is the new gen. (that is, 2nd gen., again)
in 2005 it was said that H.O.T and Dbsk 're the 1st gen. while Suju is the new gen. (that is, 2nd gen , again)
in 2008 it was said that H.O.T and Dbsk're the 1st gen., while Suju and Bigbang're 2nd gen. and that Snsd is the new generation (3rd gen.).
in 2010 it was said that suju, bigbang and snsd 're 2nd gen. and that 2ne1 is the new generation (that is, 3rd gen. again).
Then this changed in 2012 when PSY era was born, it was said that dbsk, suju, snsd, bigbang and 2ne1 're 2nd gen. and that Psy is the new generation (that is, 3rd gen. a g a i n !),
then this was repeated in 2014 when it was said that dbsk, suju, snsd, bigbang, 2ne1, and psy 're 2nd gen. while Exo was the new generation (that is, 3rd generation again ! ), and so the 2nd and 3rd gen repeats and repeats itself despite the fact that many generations have passed , at this time the kpop should have more than 8 generations.
Maybe in 2050 the new fans will say that exo and bts also are the 2nd gen.
We know that all the kpop groups and kpop solo artists 've contributed to making kpop more popular and more loved, but Dbsk, Suju, Bigbang, Snsd, Psy, Exo and Bts are the ONEs who more introduced the KPOP in ALL the World. they paved and still paving the way many more for all generations and also made history during their ERAs. There are ONLY 7 ICONIC GREATEST ERAS in Kpop's history at a national and international or global level so far.
the DBSK era
the era of SUJU
the era of BIG BANG
the era of GIRLS GENERATION
the PSY era (he is the 1st Korean as a soloist singer with true global dominance, not just local)
the EXO era
and now the era of BTS.
.... Will there be more eras? Of course there will be more eras, but at this moment there are only 7 eras and more than 8 generations.
