Since the release of his solo soundtrack “SweetNight” from the popular drama series, “ItaewonClass”, V of BTS has claimed the title of “first-ever Korean soloist” and numerous “first in the history” records to his name. The song recently celebrated its 100th day anniversary and as expected, V’s fans commemorate the milestone with various support and donation projects.
The three-part celebratory collaboration project led by V’s global fanbase: V Union and one of his largest Korean fanbase: V INSIDE is highly noteworthy.
The first of the three projects include a massive billboard advertisements at two of the hottest spots in Seoul: Jump Milano Building in Gangnam Street and Goibito Building in Dongdaemun. The ads are expected to run more than 100 times a day ensuring the highest coverage for the idol.
In addition, the fan bases also arranged a promotional banner on South Korea’s largest social networking site: Kakaotalk's main chat screen. As per the fanbases, the banner is linked to an AdView image celebrating the historical record set by V and also includes a celebratory video and a sharing option.
Furthermore, V’s global fan base also sponsored three hearing dog puppies in his name. Hearing dogs are trained companions to help those with hearing impairments with their anxiety, stress, and to provide support and awareness in their day-to-day life. V Union stated that V’s inclusivity during his speech at YouTube's virtual graduation event: “Dear Class of 2020” inspired them to take further action. They said: “The heartwarming applause that V expressed in sign language to congratulate the #DearClassOf2020 graduates, resonated deeply with the DHOH community, touching hearts globally.”
In only 100 days, “Sweet Night” has become one of the most acclaimed Korean soundtracks in history. The song broke an eight-year-old record set by PSY with his viral hit “Gangnam Style” and currently reigns as the Korean solo song with the most #1s (89) on Worldwide iTunes chart. In addition, the song was recently reported as a global radio-hit by multiple Korean media outlets as well.
