BTS Jimin's self-written and composed song "Promise" has hit a new milestone on SoundCloud!
On May 26 before 1:30 p.m. KST, "Promise" surpassed 210 million streams on SoundCloud. "Promise" was released on December 31, 2018.
Shortly after release,"Promise" broke records to become the song with the biggest 24-hour debut ever– smashing the record previously held by Drake's "Duppy Freestyle" with 8.5 million streams.The song continued to soar and became the first Korean and Asian song to surpass 100 million and 200 million streams on the platform.
To date, "Promise" remains as the fourth most streamed song of all time on SoundCloud. It is also the no. 1 most streamed Korean and Asian song, the no. 1 most streamed ballad, and the no. 1 most reposted song on the platform.
Fans took to Twitter to celebrate the song reaching 210 million streams with the hashtag #PromiseByJimin210M.
People anticipate with enthusiasm as the song gets nearer to becoming the third most streamed song of all time on SoundCloud.
