Since its release on March 13th, the OST song by BTS member V has broken countless records on iTunes around the world. The success of the song had many holding their breaths in anticipation of whether it would become the first Korean OST song to chart on Billboard's Hot 100 song chart, which many believed it would.
But in a situation some fans feel emulate what happened to , which is an impressive feat and makes it the second-bestselling song of the week. This is the same number of copies the BTS member's solo track from 7, called Inner Child, sold in its first week too.
Congratulations to V for achieving the second-bestselling song in the US! And hopefully the current discussions about VPN filtering, will deter any kpop fans from ever using such gimmicks in the future.
I want to congratulate Taehyung on his first solo OST release. Second biggest seller of the week is an amazing achievement. He only ever wanted us to enjoy the song, charts wasn't was what important here and people need to remember that.
The solo stans who did this need to be called out and I'm glad they will be. This will end up reflecting badly on Tae, BTS and ARMY. I wish those minority would have the faith in BTS to perform well without things like this. Hopefully this will discourage them from doing it in the future and I sincerely hope it will. I'm disappointed in those who did this, they've turned a huge moment for Taehyung in to something negative.
