Mubeat calls itself a Voting app for Music Core and by their own words, these votes count towards who gets to be nominated and ultimately win Music Core.
This week was the second week of promotions for the international super group NCT127 and their comeback Kick It.
Fans voted daily by watching ads and some even paid to vote.
Some fans were skeptical that this voting counted. So the official Twitter account for Mubeat posted this:
This statement further fuels on the fanbases to vote more. 10% might not seem like much but winning would ensure that boost for the chosen artist.
In the end of voting period Friday at 11:00 am, NCT127’s Kick It was in first place with around 3 million votes. BTS trailed only by 60-70,000 votes. The girl group Itsy and solo artist Zico had votes in the thousands.
When NCT127 won this pre-voting fans were reassured. However when the nominees for this week’s show was announced, NCT127 was no where to be found leaving fans baffled and upset.
So did that pre-voting really reflect anything or were the fans hopes and exploited?
This is the chart system for Music Core. Probably the Album & Digital Sales were really less that they didn't get nominated? I mean even Music Video Views has 10%, so the voting doesn't make much difference.
