On March 10, BTS' latest album "MAP OF THE SOUL:7" has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), meaning that the album has sold over 250,000 copies domestically (excluding ones that were imported). 

It is BTS' first Platinum album since Face Yourself  which was released in April of 2018, and their first Korean album to do so (Love Yourself: Tear, Love Yourself: Answer, and Map of the Soul: Persona were previously certified Gold by RIAJ).

MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 has recently topped the Oricon Album Charts during the previous week with a massive sales of 377,000 copies, becoming their best selling studio album in Japan, and is also currently the best selling album in Japan so far.
